ICRA, P.A.B.B.I.S. profile
AOL, MSN, and Yahoo! are going to be rated by ICRA. This site, of course, will be rated Triple F.
Meanwhile, our good friends at P.A.B.B.I.S. are still trying to rid Fairfax County of naughty books that will instantly turn their children into freakish pervs.
(This isn't a new story, and I'm a bit loathe to link to the Washington Times, but it's good to keep dibs on these guys.)

The Department of Justice may take a look at the record industry to see if the junta is violating antitrust laws.
Many librarians are alarmed by the govenment's new hobby of removing public info from the Web for national security interests.
Meanwhile, in porn news, few libraries are willing to install filters on their computers, citing violations of civil liberties.

RIAA, web filters
Here's a follow-up of sorts to an earlier post: a group of organization (or an organization of groups) are endorsing legislation that will force the music industry to make its products more readily available on the internet. (Guess where I found this link. I hope I don't owe Michael Pate royalites.)
Meanwhile, in news found from a different source, here's a look into the failings of internet filtering.

Ah, the RIAA
Ah, the RIAA. They want control your PC to make sure you're not swapping songs. Not only is this ferociously unconstitutional, it is also horrifically disgusting that these fucking assholes are taking advantage of a national tragedy to turn themselves into the web's Big Brother (and I ain't talking the lame CBS reality series).
By the way, if you want to read today's L.A.C.K. news yesterday, visit LibraryPlanet.com, won't you?

Family Friendly Libraries
Rather than simply reword what LibraryPlanet.com posted, I'm just going to link to their post about Family Friendly Libraries.

[EDITOR'S NOTE] The original post didn't mention the title of the book, so I added it in when I moved the archives to Censoround.
